Go to Account Settings → API Management in your Bybit account. Create a new API key and enable read-only permissions only. No withdrawal or trading permissions are needed.

Does Plancana support Bybit Spot or only Futures?
The current Bybit integration focuses on Bybit Futures (USDT Perpetuals and Inverse Contracts). Spot trading support is on the roadmap. If you trade spot, you can still log those trades manually in under 30 seconds.
Is my Bybit account safe with a read-only API key?
Yes. A read-only Bybit API key has zero trading or withdrawal permissions. It can only fetch your trade history and account data. Even if the key were exposed, nobody could touch your funds. We also recommend naming your API key clearly (e.g., "Plancana - read only") for easy identification.
What Bybit trade data does Plancana import?
Plancana imports closed position data including: symbol, side (long/short), entry and exit price, entry and exit time, quantity, realised PnL, fees, and any Bybit trade notes. Full closed-position history is imported on first connection.
How quickly do Bybit trades appear in Plancana?
Closed positions typically appear within a few minutes of closing. Plancana syncs in the background automatically. You can also trigger an instant manual sync from the Integrations screen.
Can I use Plancana for both Bybit and another platform like MT5?
Yes. You can connect multiple integrations simultaneously — for example, Bybit Futures for your crypto positions and MetaTrader 5 for your forex trades. All trades appear in one unified journal.
