Open Integrations in Plancana

What broker servers are supported for MT5?
Plancana connects to any broker that runs on the standard MetaTrader 5 platform. If your broker provides a server address for the MT5 desktop app, it will work with Plancana. This covers the vast majority of regulated forex, CFD, and futures brokers worldwide.
Does the MT5 connection work with MT4 accounts too?
Yes. Plancana supports both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 with separate connection options in the Integrations screen. You can connect multiple accounts — for example an MT4 live account and an MT5 demo account simultaneously.
Is my MT5 account password safe?
Plancana uses a read-only investor password connection. This means the app can only read your trade history and open positions — it cannot place, modify, or close trades on your behalf. Your investor password has no withdrawal or trading permissions.
How often does Plancana sync from MT5?
Sync runs automatically in the background. New closed positions typically appear in your Plancana journal within minutes of being closed on MT5. You can also trigger a manual sync at any time from the Integrations screen.
What trade data is imported from MetaTrader 5?
Plancana imports the symbol, direction (buy/sell), open and close prices, open and close times, lot size, profit/loss, swap, commission, and trade comments. All historical closed trades are also imported on first connection.
Can I use Plancana without the MT5 sync?
Absolutely. Manual trade entry takes under 30 seconds per trade. Many traders use both — they connect MT5 for automation but also add notes, screenshots, and emotional tags manually.
